Durso Standpipe Microbubbles

Ok, I added one of these standpipes to my 92 gal RR corner tank. Noise dropped to almost nonexistent. Unfortunately, now I have a problem with microbubbles in tank. Any suggestions. Turnover is on the order of 700 gal/hr plus.

DO you have something like a sponge that the water falls into from the tank?

Wamp, no sponge.
Goifish, I used an air valve so hole size is variable. Didn't have problem before.....troublesome
