Dwarf angel without live rock?

I am considering putting maybe a pygmy or other dwarf angel in my 20, but have seen that dwarfs need live rock to munch on. My 20 does not have live rock and is not going to have live rock because of the expense and I also do not want my tank to recycle. My question is has anybody kept a dwarf angel successfully without having live rock in the tank?

I have a couple times ago, what they eat on the live rock is the algae, they will also eat the algae on gravel, other kinds of rock, and even the glass. So I guess you can get one, as long as you have some algae, and that your tank is about 6 months old at least, just to be safe.

I currently have a Coral Beauty, a Niger Trigger, and 2 (3) stripe damsels all in a 40 gallon f/o tank with out live rock. I've used dead corals to provide adequate living quaters for the fish and they all seem happy. So no u don't need live rock to successfully keep a dwarf angel. Good Luck!
