Dwarf Angels

I have a Flame Angel enroute to me tonight to go into my mixed reef after a month of quarantine. I will use the month, maybe longer, to make sure the angel eagerly feeds on frozen foods. Hopefully, it will leave my precious polyps alone or at least, be moderate about it.
From what I've read here, there and everywhere: "You pays you money and you takes you chances"
The only real definitive to your question is..NO
But that ain't stopping me from trying.

I wouldnt sweat it. Flames, Coral beauty's, Bi-colors, etc... are all pretty reef safe. May do a little picking here and there but as long as there fed they shouldnt cause any problems. I would however add all your dwarfs (if you want more then one) at the same time, otherwise the first one in will dominate the tank.

I have a lemon peel and a reef tank. The lemon peel did nip at corals in the beginning. It was just trying to eat algae, which is an integral part of their diet. Once I established a good feeding routine that included algae sheets, it evolved into a model citizen.

Coral Beauties are considered the "safest"
I've owned a Flame and a Coral Beauty that did not nip.
The key is to have well established live rock from them to graze from and feed them well.

I would like a Coral Beauty Angel. I have no corals or anenomes just shrimp and snails, will these get bothered?

Dwarf angels are considered reef safe with caution due to the fact that they may nip at corals. They may also nip at algae that is on snails, clams and other critters that have algae on them.

UMMMM the only TRUE reef safe angels are in the same family as the Lamarcks and Swallowtail... (though those are the most prevelant in the family there are some others)

True, but those are large angels. There are a few dwarfs, such as the Coral beauty, which are considered safe.
There's a risk with any fish. I had a clownfish that ate corals. Anything is possible.
