Dwarf Lion in a 29G

Ok I am now way too hooked on SW fish and SW set ups... my question is would a 29G be too small for something like a fuzzy dwarf lion fish or would it be ok?? I dont see myself as having enough money to get anything too much bigger that's why I ask. and then maybe a snowflake eel or some type of small eel in there too? would be a FOWLR tank too if that makes a difference...

29 gallon is too small for any Dwarf Lion or Dwarf Eel. You need small fish in a small tank and those fish arent that small.

I've had a single fuzzy dwarf lion in a 29gal for 6 months and she was fine. I still have her, except now she's in a 45gal. But I did have a small fuge to cut down on the nitrates and a HOB skimmer.

Not the best idea; but I think you could keep a fuzzy dwarf in a 29--they aren't demanding, once you get them eating. Good skimming, filtration, etc would be critical---as always.

Size will be an issue as he grows. They can reach seven inches. He should be fine for awhile though. Be sure to keep the water clean.

ya I would do all the normal stuff. It will be a little while before I even get the tank... just wanted to see what people thought about the size and temper of a lion in a 29G... maybe I can get a better deal on a larger used tank at my LFS or something who knows!

What about hawaiian golden dwarf morays? They get 8-12inches... These work in 20 longs and 10gallons quite well with good maintenence.
One guy sells them on ---- for ~$150shipped (most places rip people off at $350) and he's reputable (even a few people I know have got stuff from him... he's even got a guarantee.)
