my dwarf fuzzy lion just died. it is really depressing, he was so cool. he was also my first fish since my cycling damsels. all my readings are fine, salinity 22, pph 8.0, nitates 0, ammonia 0. what did i do, i read they were pretty disease proof. also, it wasnt eating, but i have only had it 3 days.

LionFish says......
Sorry to hear that. I know how it feels to lose fish and it isn't fun. But, I will try to answer this the best that I can. Did you ask your LFS to watch it feed? That is one thing I urge everybody who wants a lion to do. Watch to make sure what it eats or if it eats at all. And I'm assuming that he is the only fish in the tank letting out the option that something killed it. The only reasonable explanation would be starvation. Other than that it is a toss-up. Sometimes it is impossible to know why it died. But if it wasn't starvation the only other thing it could have been was an internal parasite or disease. Even though they are very disease resistant they can still get diseases.

Very sorry about your loss. I always hate to lose a fish and feel sad about it. Our "shark" is right - very right. Never purchase a fish without requesting it to be fed. Then, purchase one that eats (and the most aggressive with food).
