i was wondering if anybody has ever kept a dwarf lionfish in a reef setup i have seen pics and heard it could be done but i wanted to know everybody's opinions before i try it. it is a 60 gal tank. i was planning on putting in zoas, mushrooms, softies, and a sun coral to get started because i heard these barely need any light. right now i only have a regular light but in december i will be getting a t5 light. also what else would i need to run the reef system i already have power heads already and a skimmer for a 150gal.
thank you

I have know idea. But you can get a fu man chu lionfish which is the smallest lion fish. They only need 30 gallons minimum and they still look very cool

I've done it before. I kept a fuzzy dwarf with every sorts of corals. Don't keep them with shrimp(of course). But also be aware that lions produce a lot of waste, so make sure you have good filtration.

yeah lions only really mess with things that they can fit in their mouths. i wouldnt recommend getting fish smaller than him. your corals will be fine tho he wont mess with them. as someone else said shrimp...consider them expensive food.
