He's a Dwarf Puffer and apparently he was freshwater or brackish before being fully converted according to the LFS. He's now a happy saltwater fish.
First off, I think its awesome that while perusing the fish I could not afford right now I stumbled upon an adoptable puffer. Free Adoption...woo hoo.
Anywho... what once was a mere rock farm now has life, at least a little at a time over the past 2 months so here's the line up so far...
(New) 1 Dwarf Puffer
(New) 1 Pink Urchin
(New) 3 Large Turbo Snails
(New) 1 Chocolate Chip Starfish
(Start Up) 1 Pencil Urchin
(Start Up) 2 Black & Silver Striped Damsels (very mean they killed the 3 Dominoes they were purchased with)
(Start Up) 1 Red Serpent Starfish
(Start Up) Handful of Blue and Red leg Hermit crabs ( Those that survived the Seprent Star when they were the only things in the tank. )
(Start Up) Couple Cerith & Astrea Snails (Also survivors of Hungry Serpent Star... I don't Think I Like him very much)
I now have about 90 lbs of Live Rock compared to previous 20 lbs.
What else is compatible with my new puffer. What do I already have that isn't safe. I want clowns but now I think they are a No-No with my puffer and mean damsel, But I would boot the Damsels in a heartbeat for Clowns.
Also I was thinking Snowflake Eel because they seem the most docile while still being pretty. It's a 95 Gallon Surfline so theres lost of Vertical and Horizontal room to swim.

If I am not mistaken those hermits and snails may become dinner for a puffer. I know they eat clams and other meaty foods so I would keep an eye on it.

How big is your tanK? When did you add everything not all at once right? Puffers usually eat any kind of inverts.

It's a 95 Gallon Surfline tank... the wave front. So far he seems to be minding his own business in the top half of the tank. All the "start Ups" have been in there for 2 months or so, the new ones were the puffer, urchin, and very large turbos. The 3 snails are bigger than the puffer itself
