Dwarf Zebra eating Nassarius?

Just noticed something and have a question. Came home from work this morning and noticed one of my Hawaiian Zebra Hermits what looked like eating one of my Nassarius Snails. He had the snail flipped over and kinda inside the shell of the snail. I grabbed my net and split them up snail hasn't moved yet if it's not dead probably in shock so I don't expect it to move. What im wondering is are these crabs known to eat these snails or whats going on if anyone could help?

Not sure about zebras but I had blue legs attack/eat snails. True blue legs are known to be more aggressive but you never know. I'd keep an eye on it if I were you.

Crabs will eat snails, and they do all the time. You might need to get some empty shells for the crabs. Not always, but alot of the time they kill the snails for a bigger shell. Barry

this is why I keep a 1 hermit to 5 snail ratio. They dont mess with bigger snails like Astrea unless they fall over but nassarius snails seem to be aquarium livestocks favorite escargo by far.
