Dwarf/Zebra Lionfish

I was wondering what the minimum tank size is for just a Lionfish. I have a spare 29 gallon and was wondering if he would fit in tehre or if he would need a 55? I would get no ther fish and just him.

I'd do a tank at least 3' long. They can still get to be 6" (depending on the species), so they need their room. Bo

So like a 55 Gallon? If I got a 55 Gallon would I be able to put some sort of sdmall puffer like Saddle Valentini Pufferfish. Would ther be any otehr fish I could put in?

A 55g would be fine. Don't add a valentini, it'll have a field day with the fins. Big clownfish - maroon, tomato, cinnamon make pretty good tankmates. So do hawkfish and other fish that wouldn't be able to be swallowed. Bo

I think a Zebra in a 29 would do ok. They are not real active swimmers and if zebras are like my spotfin it will sit there watch you all day anyway. As to a tankmate I agree, try a larger clown like what was said above. I have my spotfin with a mandarin so just because it can doesnt mean it will eat smaller fish as long as you keep it well fed and weened off live food ASAP. You will prolly need a fuge or a good deal of LR for that tank though.
