Dying Anemone

Needing some help, quick!
Bought a real healthy sebea carpet anemone, clowns starting hosting and the anemone was eating and looking good.
Unfortunately for whatever reason he decided to move and became hung up in a powerhead. The powerhead was turned off and then placed near a flat rock where the anemone removed himself. Damage noted to the tentacles and slight tear to were the tentacles meet the flat surface leading to his foot.
Currently he is floating around the bottom the tank looking pretty sad. When you grab the anemone his foot is soft but then becomes rigid, tentacles are still suctioning to my hand, he isn't "melting", mouth is wide open and clowns are still trying to figure out what he's doing.
Should I pull the anemone or let him float around? I figured if he was looking for a new spot his foot would still have hold of the sand or live rock.
All water parameters are good.
Thanks for the help,
Dave

I would cover powerheads with some pantyhose or tight fish net and keep an eye on it. If the foot is not damaged, there's a decent chance or survival. Try to keep the clowns from further irritating it if possible. You could try to place it's foot near the base of a rock and carefully bury the base with some sand. Have some water ready for a water change if it does die and consider running carbon if you do not already do so.
Good luck!

The anemone is also taking a face down position. Its like he is purposefully putting his foot into the air.
I've tired to place him upright, foot on the sand, foot on a rock - no luck.
Any ideas?
