dying coral beauty?

I have had this fish in my tank for the past 2 weeks. Was fine, swimming around picking at the LR. Last 5 days noticed it had a small discoloration on its side. Last couple days it hides alot and this discoloration has gotten alot worse....almost like a parasite is eating the flesh. It now appears to be a wound getting larger?
Any ideas what this could be.....fish flesh eating disease?

You know, I had the exact same thing happen to my CB as well, and I have heard of this here from other hobbyists. In my case, the "ragged" area would clear up at time, then get worse.
I never know what it was.

so did the CB survive? Is this like the fungus that hits perc clowns and then kind of goes away?

He lived for a couple of yrs, it would all but go away, then my hippo tang started acting up---aggression. The CB got stressed, the problem for him got worse then, and he ended up dying.
