Dying Devil???

My Devil's Finger is not looking to shabby. It was shedding and now all of the sudden it is droppy and starting to turn white. Does this mean it's gonna die and if so how could i prevent that??? if it's not dying whats going on with it??? any help would be great.....you guys rock....you've helped before, i know you can again... thanks:notsure:

:happyfish Hi, it sounds like it's possibly getting bleached by too much light. I have one, and I have power compacts, and not metal halides. It may also be its beneficial plankton that lives on it is dying and that also cause bleaching affect. If you have metal halides I would recommend lowering it in the water column, and feed it live dt, daily directly with a syringe, and pour a cap of iodine on it 2 times a week. That would be my advice for ya. However, sometimes when a coral wants to die it dies. Especially when its an older coral that you've had for years. Hope I was of some help. Just remember your not alone on coral death. Unfortuanately it hapens to every reefkeeper. :happyfish :happyfish

Thanks..... i don't have MH but i have pc's like you. i moved it a little farther from the light and it seemed to perch up a bit. i'm going to give it a does of iodine right now.....pray that it work i love that thing it's cool!!!!!!
