Dying Dwarf Lion

Are dwarf lionfish toxic when they die. I have a friend who may lose his dwarf overnight. He has apparently done all that he can, but I thought I remembered hearing that they can be toxic if and when they die. Obviously he would scoop him out right away in the am if he has passed but what is that safe for rest of tank?

yes he is safe the lion is only poisonous to the sting .be sure he handles with a not though he can still get stuck by his spines after death .sorry about his lion
