Dying Fungia and Nitrates?

Any animal could do this, but a fungia doesn't have a lot in the way of flesh so it won't cause problems the way a dying anenome can. Is yours bleached? I hate to do it, but in the past when I have lost corals, I tend to remove them earlier than some might just out of caution.

Depends on your tanks water volume. If you have a 20 gallon tank, then yes. If you have a 200 gallon, probably not.

Not exactly sure what you mean by bleached, but it does have or is starting to develop some white spots. Noticed that some of the tentales are still active. Tank is 75 gallons.
Trying to figure out what is going on. I had a sudden growth of red slime algae. I changed about 20% water, worked on my filters a little and cleaned my protien skimmer.
Going to test the water shortly after everything settles..
