E39 or E40?? Mogul Base. Whats the difference? Looking on E**** and I see lights with E39 base and reflectors with E40 base. Are they the same?

Wattage i believe.175w /400w but im not sure.
* I was wrong*
"The most common lamp base differences are
European E27 (ES) and E40 (GES), U.S.A
E26 (Med) and E39 (Mogal). Most Pierlite
fittings come with E27 and E39/E40
(universal) lampholders. E26 lamps fit E27
lampholders but lamp problems can occur
due to poor contact. E40 lamps typically fit
E39 lampholders but E39 lamps will not fit
E40 lampholders correctly causing lamp
problems."

bmkj, on the place you mentioned, I'm selling a 2 x 400 watt MH retro system. look it up if interested. it's E39 mogul based.
honestly, don't know the difference, other than my lights have the large screw-in bases.
just thought I'd let you know if you're looking on that site for some lights, I'm selling.
