Early stages of Velvet

Hello all, Well my tank has been introduced to Velvet. I just got back from my LFS and purchased CopperSafe. Here are my questions.
1. How long should i leave the copper in my tank before removing?
2. If symptoms go away, can I introduce new fish to the tank without removing the copper?
3. What is the best way to remove the copper?
4. Is there any type of fish that may die from the use of copper?

I really dont think you are supposed to put the copper in your main tank. It will kill live rock and probably any creatures living in your sand. I am not 100 % sure about velvet. I always thought that you removed your fish to a hospital tank and medicated the fish in the hospital tank. Matter of fact I amm 100% sure thats the way its done. DONT PUT COPPER IN YOUR MAIN TANK.
Thats a good question though. Will ick die off without a host in your show tank??
