east coast

Dunno what this has to do with fish, but I must strongly disagree with you. I've lived both on the east and west coast (as well as the midwest and in other countries) and the west coast is, in every way, supperior. On the east coast, just about everyone has a stick up their butts, no one is friendly unless you are a family member. The overcast, grey winters typify the attitude of those that live here (on the east coast). Not saying everyone is that way, but for any of you that moved to the east coast after living any place else, I know you know what I'm talking about. I'm ready to make my escape for the west (or ANYPLACE else). Oh, at least the west coast has beaches. Hang loose.
Is INDIANA the east coast?

Uhh the East Coast has just as much beach as California. I dont know how they compare quality wise but the water is warmer. I have only ever lived in New Jersey. However I like it. People are nice in the suburbs and rural area but once you get into the big cities ie Philly the people oculd care less. Bacl to the Beaches. We have beaches along the Jersey Coast, Delaware, a little bit of Maryland, Virginia, Northa dn SOuth Carolina, Georgia, and of course FLorida. WE do however have a harsh climate ie Brutal winters and scorching summers.

The east coast sucks as bad as the west coast...they both stink, full of buttheads, and equal amount of illegals, idiots, crime, and so on...

I was born and raised in Baltimore and it is cool and all ( thank goodness for the Ravens) BUT ... it aint no California. I lived in SF for 2 years and had the time of my life. Spent plenty of time in SD ( cant stand LA, that is the one exception in my eyes) and I will tell you that there aint no where along the East Coast to sit down on a cliff and look out at the Ocean. Man is it beautiful.
I am an outdoors person and there was a 3 hour semi-circle around the city of SF that had EVERYTHING. Wine country, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, Monterey. I came back to Baltimore and I was like, what should I do. I had to drive 9 hours to ski in Vermont and there was a 50/50 chance that it was going to suck. So for now, I will settle on fly fishing along the Gunpowder River. Of course, my family is here and this outwieghs everything written above (so are the O's (who suck) and the Ravens (Who do not suck))
Peace

Did someone get a laid off from work, really bored, or just out to make a useless point? I can undstand starting this subject if it had some kind of meaning or a point to it? I think we're just adding fuel to the fire. Everyone has a opinion, East coast, West coast, who are we to say whats better?

Northerners from the East are not the most friendly lot in the world, the dont say hello when they walk down the street, they dont talk at the cash register and in general they cuss way too much
WT BLEEP DO YOU MEAN we cuss to much bleep bleep lol
I talk at the cash register so i can shove my cart infront of person I am talkin too rofl
As to the Northeast, way too crowded, why anyone would want to live in those hives they call cities is beyond me. Too many people not enough open space and really messed up accents.

at least when u live in the city you can open your window and yell Hey lamer go to mcdonalds and see if they got that lame sweet tea yet rofl ahh but seriously I love liveing 50 miles from boston great striper fishin good lookin girls IMO best in the world and we got some beer here too ps and yes i got the BOston accent :D  :p :p

Just to be safe, I checked my backside in the mirror. To my great relief, I did not find a stick, but man my butt is getting hairy. :p

:D You're cracking me up tangman (no pun intended). I suppose I should agree that most of my comments are to the northeast, not the entire east. Although, I must say I think Florida has about the worst climate in the country. And its full of tourists, bugs, and old people. However, I would reluctantly have to say Florida would be my first choice if I had to choose to live anywhere on the east coast.

Maybe this is healthy, to joke around about something so stupid, instead of getting worked up about all the stuff going on in the world. Or perhaps we are just poking fun at each other. Perhaps this is just some entertaining teasing, which is actually endearing, not harmful. Yes, we are all Americans, and as one American family, we can joke around with each other like this without harm because we all share a mutual love for our country.

I love readin posts where people are just having a good time and messing around. And then I see posts where people are getting all worked up over people messing around and saying we are all americans. My goodness. What does one have to do with the other. I mean, why can't people have fun messing around with eachother and laugh every once in a while and not be so serious. Nobody is getting upset at anyone else. Just having fun.
I apologize, I just don't see how a political comment needs to fall into the mix here. It just gets me all worked up

secondtime,
As I already said, we are all just goofing off, and poking fun. No one is angry, or trying to offend anyone. I, for one, find it very interesting to discuss the differences within our country. I'm sorry we offended you, but at the same time, understand that it is all just in fun, and if you really don't want to read about it, just stay off this thread. Incidentally, you HAVE to be from the east coast :D jk

Secondtime, It's no big deal -- all in good fun and thats the important part.
HOWEVER, I am from the east coast and have been to NYC so many times for business and pleasure its sickening ... I might as well have an apartment there. And I can't stand that city. It's huge and everyone is in such a rush. I always get the feeling that I am edgy because everything is so fast paced and you just can't relax. Horns Horns Horns!!! I hate the yankees!!!! Not yankees but the New York Yankees, you know the one steinbrenner is affiliated with. I'm sure I will piss off a lot of people with my yankee bashing but thats the great thing about our country. It doesn't mean I am unpatriotic. :D :D
