Really? I have 2 in my 29 gal biocube, Florida Condi and a green bubble tip. The Condi has gotten so big i have to get rid of it soon. And my BTA is as happy as they get. All I have are the std PC lights on my tank too. Just an FYI.

Problem is Condys don't live where clowns do. Usually won't host.
BTW, if your anemone dies it releases toxins ito the water column if not removed quickly.
A lot of people keep them without issue. It should be close to the top to be sure it gets enough light.

I definitely vote against a condy. I'd get a rose BTA myself. Likely to host, doesn't require halides and they are beautiful.

BTW there is a chance that your false percs will not host with anything.

I had a problem with my Pink tip condy eating fish. It died in the "Great Move" of 2004.

How long have you had your BTA. I'm prolly going to buy a green or a rose in the next few months. My LFS had a huge rose that was always labeled "not for sale"...then one day I went in and it had been sold. I guess everything has it's price.
I've heard stories of mixed success with taping a photograph of a clown in an anemone to the side of the tank near where the fish calls home. Power of suggestion kind of thing. I think one of the mods here tried it, too. Maybe Bang guy or Viper.

How long have you had your BTA. I'm prolly going to buy a green or a rose in the next few months. My LFS had a huge rose that was always labeled "not for sale"...then one day I went in and it had been sold. I guess everything has it's price.

Yea I read that somewhere too but there is no conclusive evidence that they will do that based on a picture. My clowns are aquacultured so they know people and respond to people. So what i have been doing is placing my finger on the tank as they are used to seeing me feed them and trying to lure them to the anenomie. They were really close to touching it but then the Anenomie decided to move under a rock and now they just look at it.
I just reciently found out that their age and weather or not they are at sexual maturity will also determine when they will look for someting to host in. Although they dont need to be ready to breed to host most times they wont until they feel the need to breed. I guess I have a while to go my 2 clowns are only about 1" each.
