Yeah zoos and mushrooms are definately great for beginners. Try some LPS too like trumpet/candy cane corals.

What are you using for a lighting source? If the tank is stable and if you have adaquate lighting good starter corals are leathers....mushrooms....polyps......

Hiya,
I started with polyps, mushrooms, stars and leathers. I've since added a torch, hammer and a candy cane, both of which are splitting!
You can get some really nice color in the mushrooms and polyps. But I love the movement of the torch and hammer corals.

I have 10K
a blue actinic and something else ( not sure i'm at work)
It's the appropriate lighting for a reef aquarium. BY the way that colt is beautiful! Are they hard to keep?

Important to know tank size and whether these are normal output, power compacts, VHO....fixtures.
