What kind of lights do you have?Mushrooms are hardy and don't need alot of light.

Soft Corals are all pretty easy. Maybe a Leather Tree or something along those lines.

when i was "new" to this hobby I asked the same question. And i pretty much got the same responce you did. and i second the zoas,shrooms and leathers. some other things you could try would be like pulsing xenia which i have learned likes "more dirty" water.that doesnt mean i let my param's spike but i let the algea on the glass grow for a little bit longer than usual. and i have fragged my pulsing xenia three times,and am about to do it again. another thing that isnt a coral but is pretty cool is a feather duster, i have heard from some people and books say that they are difficult to keep but mine lived for a long time..So if your a beginner or not these are all still great and easy corals
