easy glue question

I just bought some more SPS frags and before I had been able to glue the frags outside of the tank.
So heres the question, I have a monti cap. Is it safe to take the frag out of the tank, put glue gel on it then place it on a rock in the main tank? The rock will never be out of the tank during this process so I need to know if it is safe or not.
Thanks!

That's what I did. I have used glue in my tank several times actually, and it hasn't hurt anything. I would try to do it out of the tank, but things like this make it impossible.

Hi,
I use a marine epoxy that dries into a rock, I can use it underwater. It kneads like putty or clay for about five minutes and then it will hold right away.
Personally I would never use crazy glue or anything that was not made for marine tanks. Salt does its own thing to different materials.

I did it. It is a little tricky at first but I got the hang ouf it and covered my fingers with dried glue(very hard to get off). I am going to look into epoxy though.

Ive used Super Glue Gel and it worked fine, except my craps picked one off one time. But I didnt smother it in glue like the others.
