Eclipse 12 gallon

My friend is going to have an extra Eclipse 12 gallon tank soon. I've been debating setting up a small saltwater tank for a month or two. I currently have a 30 gallon freshwater tank with two albino oscars and a huge pleco. I also have a 10 gallon with guppies and a red tail shark (it's my g/f's tank).
Is the Eclipse 12 an okay set up for a small sw tank? I believe it has upgraded lighting. What else would I need in terms of equipment? I figure I would want some LR, LS, a clean up crew, a clown, a goby, and maybe a coral for the clown.
Any input would be great. Thanks.

Well small tanks are harder to maintain than larger ones. You would need a heater, a thermometer, something for water movement, I would throw a small filter on the back ( Just because). The LR and LS are good choices  What kind of lighting are you planing on using?

You would get another filter in addition to the one already in the hood? Would a small power head help with water flow?

i had an eclipse 12. you just need a heater and its possible. i would suggest a powerhead maybe since the movement wasnt that great with the stock biowheel.

Thanks for the input.
With enough LR, LS, a power head, and the biowheel would 10% water changes be enough for 2-3 small fish and a clean up crew?

TAKE OUT THE BIO-WHEEL! You dont want to have the bio-wheel on your filter just take it aout of the wheel! Allot of bad things you dont want for saltwater build up on the wheel!

Here's my eclipse 12... About the only thing that I have left from the eclipse is the tank I replaced everything else. It's kinda a small pic sorry but you get the general idea what is possible.

Well I completely replaced the hood, light, and filter. I am using an Aquaclear 300 hang on back filter as a filter/fuge, I put a 96w powerquad light over the tank from coralife. By doing all this the only peice of equipment I have in my tank is an aditional powerhead for water movement, my heater is in my hang on back filter so everything is nice and hidden.
