Eclipse hood + metal halide?

Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew if it were possible to add metal halide to an eclipse hood, I allread have PC, but I need more light, the design I have right now includes 3 big computer fans attached to heatsinks for cooling, but I just wonder if it's even possible since I don't know very much about metal halide except that it is suposed to be really good and that it is going to put a big fat hole in my wallet,

I would not do becuae of 2 reasons:
1) heat the mh bulb would be very close to the water.
2) plastic...mh and plastic do not get along.

allright, guess I'll stick to PC then, I was gonna go and try to be creative, but that just takes to much work
