Eclipse self contained aquarium.... Help!

I was considering buying a Eclipse 12 gallon, acrylic bowfront aquarium. The kind where the lighting and filtration is all built in and is one unit. I wanted to use it as a QT tank, or set it up as a seahorse tank. Has anyone ever had one, and if so how was it? I noticed it comes with a "bio wheel " for filtration, is this okay for salt water? Thanks for any info.

I have the 25G model. I cut a hole in the side for a Seaclone skimmer. I haven't had any problems with it. I still have the biowheel in there and run the carbon catridges also. I have a DSB and 35 lbs of LR, havne't had any water quality problems in mine.
