Eco-aqualizer vs protein skimmer

Has anyone tried or atleast have more information on the Eco-aqualizer system which is on the ecoaqualizer.com website? I am considering buying this instead of a protein skimmer.

Go with a good skimmer..... I have one of those aqua thingies.
Its buried in a box of stuff I don't plan on using. All it is is a tube filled with a few magnets in a fancy wrapper.
