eco reef system or reg. wet/dry?

i saw a eco reef sump (?) today and wondered what people think of them. do you like them? do they work better than a wet/dry with a protein skimmer? this one didn't have a skimmer and they said it didn't need one. have you had any problems with it? this would be for a reef tank. thanks, lori

I have heard that this setup only really works well on a LARGE scale.So I guess it depends on how deep your pockets are.This subject seems to pop up about every month or so,,But never hear any updates on the setup...My guess is that no one is convinsed that this is "the way to go"....I aould go with your second option...
