i was surfing around and seen these awesome looking lights. I was wondering if anyone is acutally using them. Can they be used as replacements for metal halides? I watched the video of how the aquarium at lego land had replaced all their mh's with them. I was wondering if a home reef tank would need MH's still, or could only use LEDs even for the hard corals that require high lighting levels. If this can be done hhow do you calculate how meny or what type as far as 10k or blues, ect you need. I know for Mh's for hard coral is 5 to 8 watts per gallon. I have yet to see a LED rated more then 24 watts. So if i needed let's say 100 watts of light would i need 4 24 watt leds as compared to 1 100 Mh. Or is my conversion off. I was wondering if you need that meny Leds for the same output. thanks for te advise
