Howdy All,
I did a search and read the past posts on Ecosystems, and it looks like a number of you have gone with one. It looks as if some of you bought one, and maybe more of you made one. I want to hear how everyone's is doing and their thoughts on them. Secondly, I'd like to hear from the people that made them...what did you use to make the baffles etc. any pics or designs? How about "setup" time, it seems that it might take a couple months for it to function as intended..does seeding the mud work? I was thiking of moving this way for my 80gal. reef, but just not sure. all opinions appreciated! thanks guys! :) :p :D

anyone else have anything to say?? I'd really hoped to hear from some people...find out how everybody's is doing. I've been muddling over the whole Ecosystem vs. TPR(or the other algae scrubber) systems for quite some time and was interested in hearing how everyone's is doing with comments from current owners...anyone please?

I'm hardly an expert, but I spent the $500 (canadian) on the ecosystem backpack for my new 46gal setup. It's been running with 80 pounds of lr and now a couple fish for 2 months. Cycling was fast and nitrates are 0. Was it worth the money though, not sure, probably not. In my opinion the info with the package sucks, they left out a few pieces, and how much can a few pieces of acrylic really cost?? That said, I've seen my LFS ecosystem tank and it's amazing!
Just a beginner,
Geoff
