EcoSystem40 vs Protine skimmers

Has anyone in the group tested the EcoSystem40 ? Or should I just sticked to the conventional Berlin protein skimmers.
Any thoughts and/or first hand experiences.

Several months ago I ask the same question here with very limited response......I did research this product and in all honesty it seems to be a good way to go........personally I decided to build my own refugium and go that route......the mud they mention seems a little expensive and you need to replace it on a regular basis.......plus I wanted to avoid hanging another piece of equipment on the back of my tank....bottom line.....I built a refugium..........put sand/live rock rubble/calupera in it.......all for way less than the cost of a echosytem 40.......and mine is 30 gal...............

Being a new product, I suppose its being charged a premium. Oh well, looks like its back to one of those Berlin Turbos.
How much were you quoted, anyway?
