To my knowledge, and Eel will eat whatever it could fit in its mouth. That being said. Anything that is larger.........

What kind of eel are you thinking of getting and what sized tank is this?

I would not keep one with small bottom dwellers however. Fish are at risk if the eel is not regularly fed, or if the fish would happen to be too close to the eel while it is trying to eat. The near blind eel might mistakenly latch onto a fish. I've kept a large SFE with small fish and it never bothered them.

I agree the eel will outgrow it quickly.
I have a sfe in my 110g with sailfin, koran, coral beauty, and 2 percs and it's never bothered any of them.
It will eat right off a stick but again it's not the smartest of fish. So you never know especially when it gets bigger

Why not get a pair of eel gobies. They look like eels, live in burrows, but dont eat fish. They can get large though, i have seen them as thick as an oreo and over a foot long. But they are cool, i kept a pair in a 29 for 2.5 years!

Engineer gobies I think is what they are called.
Everyone is right though, the snowflake would be a very poor choice for the tank and would likely eat the jawfish.
