eel eats fire shrimp :CRY:

i just witnessed my fire shrimp get eaten by my eel they have been just fine for 6 months then eel just decides he wanted fire shrimp...

Sorry to hear it. But that's life in the big pond. I don't think the eel just "decided" to eat the shrimp. He just realized he could.

Not very comforting, but it's just a fact of life.

Years ago I had a Panther Grouper and spotted Hawk in the same tank. The Grouper would eat food bigger than the hawk on a daily basis...2+ years. Then one day.....

It is a sad fact though. Be careful of what you keep with predatory fish.

What a bummer...I have had my fire shrimp for over 1 year...hes my favorite, and I may fall over if he dies...

If it's any consolation, I loved mine too. Better than the

grouper

that became dinner tha.....better not tell that one either.
Kidding...I didn't eat the Grouper.
