I am thinking of getting a snowflake eel for my reef tank in the future and was wondering if that is something that is ok. I have 45 gallon reef tank. And if not a snow flake, are there any eels that would work in that size reef tank.
Eels in reefs are probably not a good idea...due to the fact that they are really active during feeding time and will knock things over.
Also a SFE will eat any shrimp or crabs you have.
I have an SFE in my reef and the only non-food item he eats is me! I have a CBS, lots of hermits, and a bunch of snails. For these first six months he has been fine in my reef.
