Eel in the overflow

Ok, I just got home from homecoming, and I went to go check on my new snowflake that I got today, but I couldnt find him. But I figured he was just hinding, until I saw something long, and was black and white in my overflow part of my tank. You know how on reef ready tanks the black part has those little slits, he swam through it and is stuck down there. There's plenty of water there, I'd think he'd be alright. Right now, it looks like we're goin syphon him out into a bucket then put him back into the tank. If you have any advice post it, I'll be post something if we get him out, thanks.

Ok, after trying to flood it buy putting a golf ball down the tube, didnt work. So then, my dad took some PVC then made some wierd angles on it, so we put it in there and the eel went into it and we lifted it up and put it back into the tank. That ought to teach him.
