I have also heard that over time feeding eels directly with the a feeding stick will eventually lower their agression because they get use to the food being brought to them

feedin eels with a stick is lame, and dangerous(may strike stick causin damage) if there hungry enouf they will eat i never feed any of my eels w/ a stick in my 180 ,they seem 2 get there share

Most if not all eels should be fed 2-3 times a week to cessation. Generally in the wild, morays will go oit on an evening hunt and gorge themselves and then retire to their lair for a couple days to digest. Feeding an eel everyday will only burn out their digestive system. Many eels will go for months without eating with no problem what so ever. I will starve my eels for a week purposely to clean out their system. You are not dealing with a anthias. Eels are sedintary and should be treated as such. If you have ever kept a snake, then follow those ideas. Tim
