I have a huma huma trigger who is very active, but recently i introduced a snowflake into my tank and I havent seen my trigger lately. I know my trigger is still around because every once in a while I can see a flash of him in one of the ornaments in the tank. Is this because triggers are afraid of the eel? oh yeah by the way my trigger is about 2.5 inches long and the eel is about 5.

I would say the trigger is just not sure of the eel yet. give him time. How big is the tank? Trigger can get pretty big and like to do a lot of swimming. Good Luck

triggers and eels get along i hav a eel over a foot long with a undulated that stays around the eel all the time and the eel at times lays on the undulated , and his other tank mates are a clowntrigger, huma huma ,niger/and lionfish ,also a tomato clown but when it is feeding time the eel will bite any one close to him <img src="graemlins//silly.gif" border="0" alt="[silly]" />

I agree, I've never seen a trigger have a problem with a snowflake. Unless you trigger is 2" and your eel is about 2 1/2ft, then that may have him intimidated. But other than that your trigger should be fine. If he's not yet then I'd imagine he'll adjust. Just my 2 cents. HTH
