Eels feeding

Before I purchase my snowflake eel...how do you feed him and whats the best foods...
and are they escape artist, should I place a mesh in front of my drain teeth which are about 1/4" in width ?

i use some hard plastic tubing with a algae clip at the end to feed my eel u could use tongs also just place the food so he can get at it. I never put no mesh or anything like that but it is good but if they have a good amount of hiding places in the rock they should stay in. But it doesn't hurt to take preventive measures

I heard they like to swim around at night...and leave the rocks..I'm afraid it would get into the drains and into the w/d and that would be the end of him ..ever heard of this happening

i remember someone once said there eel whas in there sump but i think they had the kind that hangs on the back and goes down below like i said if you can do it then it is better then nothing
