Never much liked the light effects of 10k MH bulbs but I have been experimenting with the Ushio 10k just to see what kind of growth it can put out. No expert here when it comes to lighting or growing corals but as you can see the rics are just loving the lgihting.
I am amazed at how full they have expanded in just a few days time. Growth has always been good, but this is unreal.
I still don't like the color the bulb puts out just sitting and looking into the tank though, but what is more important? Propogation or eye candy effects? Maybe both so I will probably swith out between Phoenix 14k and the Ushio every-so-often.
