I got a eggcrate and i'm a little confused on how to put it on the tank. Do i take the glass top off the tank, then put the eggcrate on, then put the glass top on over it? Ok, help how do i do it? :help:

its to keep the eel in the tank. I was told to cut down some pieces and put it where the holes are but if i do that how d0 i hold it down?

Eggcrate or Glass tops...it's generally one or the other, not both...
Eggcrate will allow additional evap and gaseous exchange while keeping critters (eels) in...glass tops should do the same...
What kind of "holes" do you have...? By the OTT (over the top) return pipes coming in...??
Suggest cutting eggcrate to cover entire top of tank...notching out for return pipes ...placing lights on top to hold eggcrate down...
For "feeding/cleaning" purposes... You might want to "split" one section of eggcrate so it's removeable (slides out from under light) and then maybe put a rock on top of it for weight so the eel doesn't "push" through...
