Eggcrate?

Hi, I am thinking about getting a MH light unit and I know I should get rid of my glass cover when I get it. I asked what keeps the fish from jumping out of the tank and someone said eggcrate. I have no idea what that is and where I could get some. Any help would be appreciated.

It is in the lighting section, of Home Depot.
It's proper name is something like Florescent Light Difuser.
The thing that makes it so great is that it can be cut, with wire-cutters, to form around anything you have hanging from your tank...such as my skimmer...
