Do you guys use eggcrate? I've read that a lot of ppl are using some sort of screen? How did you make that for those of you that did? What kind of screen are you using and where did you get it? How much was it to make? Will it effect my lighting pentrating the water? I have a Midas Blenny and plan on getting a couple wrasses...so I guess those guys are jumpers so I need to cover the tank with something....eggcrate or screen thing-what do you think?

i think they use the eggcrate for under neath the substrate to even out the weight load of the rock but i could b wrong; i cant even keep a snail alive

Egg crate will work well, just snip it with diagonal plier and it will work well. You definitely want to do something... I can speak from experience that Midas Blennies do jump :) I have 2 in our right over flow and they've been there for over a year now. Seem to be doing fine :)

A lot of people will use clear bird netting to cover their tanks. It allows more light penetration than egg crate.
Egg crate will work in a pinch but will cut down your par by a bit.

netting is the best thing to do. my tank is oddly shaped so i cant make a frame so easy, but if yours is a rectangle then it should be easy.

Luckily we didn't paint the back of the overflow and they happen to be in the right one (which we have access to). I can see them with a mirror... hehehe. I'd love to get them back in the DT, but they have an odd way of avoiding getting sucked into the drain when hubby pulls the standpipe out. Tried it many times.
