Ehiem Canister filter

Hey guys,
I just recently got a Ehiem Professional Filter II
the thing is a got it used from a friend of mine and its empty. The only question i have is what sort of media should i put into this Filter. There are so many carbon things for nitrates things for phosphates, bio things filter floss. i really dont have much clue.
Im going to set up the filter so it siphons water to the canister and out into my sump just so i cna get a double fulter thing going on

Click on the menu tree at left under "Customer Center" and find the download/manual section. The manual for your filter is there. You can order direct or find a dealer as well.
