What kind of Elegance do you have.Indo or Aussie?Watch for a brown gel to form on the damaged edge and blow it off with a turkey baster daily.Also put it in the shade on sand bed.Indos are really hard to keep but not impossible.Its just a real sensitive fragile coral.If it starts to swell chances are your going to loose it and it will go fast.

Oh yeah you can frag off the dead half but if the coral is weak right now i would hold off on that.A iodine dip wouldnt hurt either ,it will help with infection .
