Elephant ear mushroom detached from rock... now what

Well, my elephant ear mushroom became detached from the piece of rock that it was attached to. It is now drifting around the tank. Should I... and how can I attach the shroom to a piece of rock?

snag the shroom, take a piece of mesh (like the type you use for wedding veils or orange and onion bags) put the shroom on the rock, cover with the mesh (in a low flow area) use a rubber band to hold the mesh to the rock let it be for 7-10 days. (dont' use the rubber band to hold the shroom down you'll probably damage it)
