email hack

got home a bit ago .my email was hacked.they seemed to go through all the emails i have in my computer,tagged them and spammed all my friends.now i get home and cant get to my emails.it says contact my server.i have a yahoo email.where do i stert to contact them to get to my emails.my business website is linked to it and i will lose work from this? do i just punch in yahoo email and look around ? i dont know what the server is for yahoo?

yea had a preacher pray for me the other day and he made life worse.lol got yahoo 's phone number and they are closed.

I would suggest you run Ad-Aware or Malwarebytes on your computer, and verify your antivirus is up to date. It's high;y unlikely someone cracked your password and logged into your Yahoo account. You have a Trojan or bot running on your machine, and I wouldn't use that account until you get it cleaned up.

well after almost 3 hours between yesterday and today.still have gotten nowhere.i had a guy in india get into my computer ,he couldnt find anything.then he gave me another # called them went through a bunch of stuff.nothing.they told me to contact att support.i have a sbcglobal.net email.they said att id the provider.so i called them .he tried looking up my account.nothing.now he tells me for $15 a month they can get into my computer and moniter it for a year.i am not signing up for a $15 a month bs service.seems to me if anyone had a cluethey could fix it easy.all it says is my email is disabled.how fricken hard can it be to find out why if you are the provider?

It could be they just hacked your Yahoo account. If it's like Hotmail your address book is web based so they can spam your address book without accessing your computer. It happened to my son with his hotmail account.

actually it seems they hacked my yahoo account.i can get on the internet with my yahoo home page.they got into my emails not just my contacts but all the email addresses i have gotten in my inbox. i ran this webroot i have in the computer and it found nothing.kinda lost on this one.the people i know who can fix this i only contact through email i dont have their phone numbers..go figure lol

Do yourself a favor. Delete the account and start all over. I'd suggest Google Mail. Their security is ten times better than Yahoo.

problem is i have had the same email address for 12 + years and my business website is linked to it. i suppose i could call the site builder and have her link it to a new email.

oh yea bio,i have been to that link and also the dude in india who was in my computer tried that also.think its a lost cause.maybe just get a new email and be done with it.

You can change your e-mail password. Just make it a different style of password and make it more complicated.
I had my bank account hacked last year. That was fun. They didn't get to any money but the endless conglomeration of crap we had to go through to change it was a major pain.

i cant even get to the password part.the computer cannot even find my email address .it says it is disabled and nobody i called has a clue
