Emerald Crab eating my coral?

So I have been wondering why my star polyp coral has been getting nipped. I first accused my Coral Beauty of it but most people said that it was probably not the culprit. Today I see an Emerald Crab sitting on the side of it picking away. Is he eating the tubes off of the coral?

Very well could be. I had one in my 14G a year ago that ate a bunch of my mushrooms. They're always a risk with emeralds, it's small, but you're not alone. Banish him to the sump.

Yes, he is eating it. I have had two Emerald Crab do this same thing. Crabs are omnivores some more then others. So just because a book says they only eat veg does not make it so...

my emerald crab ate half the tentacles off of my rbta, which was the beginning of its slow demise (the rbta).

Well then he may just find himself in the refugium in the next few days. Only thing is there are several in my tank but I think he (the green one)
is the only one that is causing trouble. If I see him near it again I guess I will get the right one.
