emerald crab hiding corals

I actually had to glue the corals to the LR because the little green guy was dragging them whereever he wants to put them. He also seems more mischievous than I have read. I exchanged the star that died for a 6 line wrasse (sadly he is dying as well) I acclimated him and water was perfect so im betting its this new store not me, anyway the crab is doing something to the poor dying wrasse. I cant see whats going on but the wrasse is trying to get away. I called the pet store and they told me even if I had a hospital tank he probably wouldnt make it. Its very sad

Funny thing about those emerald crabs... I bought 6 originally... 2 of them were missing one claw...
As time won, I started to notice they became missing, one after the other, until the only one left was this large, brutish one.
he stayed around for a few months, ignoring fish, but eating alot of coralline... and when I got a sun polyp he started picking it apart, and that was the end of him. To *****....

they are crabs, they need to eat. if there's nothing available but corals or fish, guess what? try giving them some food. who knows, maybe the corals were dying as well and it was just cleaning up?

I feed them plenty. More than recommended. Why do you assume that its starving?

just wondering, cause a lot of times people don't feed their clean up crew and it's not acting normal.

Well im pretty sure the emerald was just cleaning up cuz the wrasse was dead he wasnt eating it. But I will get some algae sheets so that I know the crew is getting what they need as well. Will these sheets dirty my tank faster?

The cleaner shrimp is tearing it up and its going all over. I put it in a seaweed clip. I only put a 2 inch square in cuz the directions said 3 inches for 55 gal. I only have a 20.
