Emerald Crab Molting

Just glanced in the tank & caught this. The molt fell off his back seconds after I took this shot.

WOW! Good to see your pic. I found a molt on the sand a few days ago and didnt knbow what to think. I thought maybe one of my emeralds died. Good to see what a real molt looks like.

How long did it take to molt. I got one from this site that has 1 pincher and 1 leg and 2 legs on the other side. Its doing ok but its been 2 month wo molting. Maybe its busy regenerating lost limbs?

I've had this one for about 2 months. This is it's second molt. It has almost doubled in mass each time it molted. The tank was a mess when it was introduced, full of hair algae & valonia & the crabs been eating 24/7 since being introduced.
