emerald crabs and polyps

I notice the crab picking around my zoos and polyps causing them to close up..can they actually harm them or just annoy them?

my emeralds do it all the time. my polyps doent seem to mind.

I don't think there is any harm being done. I think the crabs are just grabbing around the polyps for food. I wouldn't worry about it, mine do it as well.
