Yeap, I've had mine in my tank for about 6 months with no trouble. Unless you consider grazing on the macro algea a problem.

They are great for a reef! They also help you get rid of bubble algae.

Hell ya ,
They rock in a reef and some of them seem to develop a little bit of character to... Several of mine are funny as hell and they even react when they see us. you would think they would hide but they just raise up and act tough.

I love my emerald crab, "Oz"! He never hides and he loves to try to look big and tough in front of the fish. When someone gets too close he throws his claws in the air and stands on his tippy-toes. The only thing that he has ever done was knock an umbrella coral off of a rock, when he was trying to eat the hair algae underneath it. (I had just gotten it and it wasn't attached to anything yet.) He leaves everything alone and is a GREAT algae eater! Definitely a plus in my book! :yes:
