Hey, has anyone else ever had problems keeping these guys alive? A while back i had 4 that came with a crew from here and a few days later they were never to be seen again. I jsut recently bought 3 more and the first night i lost one, woke up to find my biggest blue leg munchin on his insides like a feast. One i can find regulary and i think the last one dissappeared also. My water quality is fine, all my corals are thriving, i just cant seem to get these guys to live.....sally light foots either by the way. Any input? Thanks

Try feeding them extra and see if that helps. All of the mine dies of starvation before I realized it.

Lost my first one due to what I am now certain was starvation.
Had plenty of algae growing, and thought it had enough with that, and a little overfeeding...nope...woke up one morning a week or so after I got him to find him on his back, drifting around.
So I got another, and feed it squid every morning...it has molted twice, doubling in size each time, and is now about 3 inches in diameter, with claws like Popeye's arms...

I have the same problem...I put about 10 emeralds (little ones) in my 75.....I have seen about
five in the last 5 weeks.....however no bodies afloat and no shells a drift....I was hopin the
were just being very sneaky...
also, my blue legs, kick the crap out of any red leg I put in the tank.
I thought the emeralds would have plenty to eat with the algae????

I had the same thing, I bought an emerald about 4 months ago. Until 2 weeks ago i never saw him. I also bought another one and that is when he came out. He is always out now. The other one I bought was killed by a hitchhiker crab.
